We will always provide measurements for each item in the item description. To avoid disappointment we strongly recommend measuring yourself to check that the item will fit you. To ensure it is a good fit you will need the clothing to match your measurements or be a little larger than your measurements. For the sake of ease we indicate an estimated size range (e.g. 10-12) for most items. This helps to initially point you in the right direction of items that may fit you, but you should still check the measurements described to be sure. All items are measured flat and doubled.

Items are photographed on a UK size 8-10 mannequin. Items will usually not be pinned, but where they are this will be indicated in the item description.

Measurements are given in inches and are measured as described below. Use the same method to check your own measurements:

Shoulder

From shoulder tip to shoulder tip and doubled

Sleeve Length

From the underarm to the cuff

Bust

Armpit to armpit and doubled

Waist

From the smallest part of the waist and doubled. Where items are elasticated at the waist, measurements of the item stretched and un-stretched will be given to give an indication of how flexible the waistline is

Hips

The widest part of your hips at the top of your legs and doubled

Inside Leg

From the top of the leg at the crotch to the bottom of the hem

Leg

From the top of the waistband to the crotch

Length

  • Dresses with straps: from top of strap to bottom of hem
  • Dresses with halter and bandeau necks: from top edge of back to hem
  • Dresses with collars: from middle of back neck to bottom of hem
  • Jumpsuits: from middle of back neck to crotch
  • Jackets: from middle of back neck to hem
